Verigy integrates DfE (design for the environment) into the product lifecycle, working with suppliers to meet environmental goals, measuring results and improving the next generation of products.

Verigy's Green Certified brand is part of the company's ongoing commitment to delivering innovative products to meet environmental requirements. The Verigy Green Certified designation is based on ISO 14021 Environmental declarations, which highlight energy and resource saving products and specify requirements for self declaration of environmental claims of products. In addition, Verigy's business policies reflect the value we place on sustainability, from conscientious procurement practices to Verigy's culture of corporate responsibility.

Verigy customers require environmentally conscious products, which save energy, save resources, have a smaller footprint, eliminate hazardous substances and encourage recyclability.

Green Products
Verigy’s 'Green Certified' products feature significant environmental improvements over previous generations of products. A product environmental assessment quantifies the green contributions in design, build, use and disposal. These green products make dramatic strides toward a sustainable environment and products that meet these requirements earn the 'Green Certified' label.

The V6000 and V93000 offer high performance, a longer useful life and reduced energy use. The V101 delivers more functionality, reduced energy use and a reduced footprint. These Verigy products achieved 100% of the green procurement rate by eliminating hazardous substances contained in components and the material used.

Sustainable Technologies Award
Based on its efficient use of resources and extendible design, Verigy’s scalable V93000 test platform finished among the top five finalists for SEMI’s 2010 Sustainable Technologies Award.

Verigy was one of five finalist companies in the competition for the award, which recognizes semiconductor-processing equipment, materials or services that contribute to sustainable improvement of the environment. A panel of leading environmental health and safety professionals in semiconductor-related fields judged the entries. The evaluation process included assessments and substantiations of the nomination criteria, which included a technology’s positive environmental impact beyond standard techniques or regulatory compliance, sustainable use of natural resources, and commercial viability.
