Q: Why did you choose Verigy?
A: While working for another company who was a customer of Agilent/Verigy, as a technician I had many interactions with Agilent/Verigy employees, mostly the CE's and AE's. I was really impressed with their professionalism and willingness to answer any questions that I had, and to help me understand the testers. A while later an opportunity came up with Verigy and I was happy to come on board.

Q: How do you think the people at Verigy differ from other places you've worked?
A: At Verigy there is this family atmosphere, everyone is always there for you. People at Verigy are all true team players, not just in our office but world wide as well. People will go out of their way to help each other out solving problems - anything to get the job done.

Q: What do you love about your job or what do you find the most rewarding?
A: The things I love about my job are getting to go to different customer sites, where you meet some really great people and make new friends. This job requires some traveling to other states, so it’s nice to get to see other parts of the country as well. The most rewarding thing about my job is being able to solve any and all problems for my customers. It’s such a great feeling when you repair a tester and have the customer say thanks, I appreciate the work that you do.

Q: How would you describe your career path to reach your current position?
A: At this point in time I have been a field service technician 2 ½ years and really love it, I would like to lean towards learning more about the software side of the business, and maybe one day become an AE.

Q: What is most challenging about your job?
A: The most challenging part of my job is being able to repair a problem that I have never encountered before and do it in a timely matter.

Q: What is unique about your role? How is it different from other places you've worked?
A: Although I have somewhat of the same role as my last job, this is different because I am the only one working on the problem, and need to see it through to the end. My last job, there would be several people working on the same problem through different shifts. The problems would get passed on from shift to shift.

Q: What are your goals at Verigy – what are you working to achieve?
A: As a Field Service Technician, I would like to be able to work on all platforms that Verigy has, I know that is a lot but, it can be done.

Q: What's been your biggest surprise about working at Verigy?
A: How friendly everyone is, the family atmosphere, and all the team players that makes Verigy successful. I have never experienced this at other companies that I have worked for in the past.

Q: How do you balance work/life issues?
A: Sometimes it's a hard thing to do, but I manage. Work hard all week, and have as much fun as I can during my time off.
